Afghans urged to take part in looming runoff vote

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The governor of eastern Nangarhar on Monday called on people to take active part in the looming runoff ballot to overcome any crisis.
Maulvi Attaullah Ludin expressed these views in a ceremony arranged on the eve of Mujahideen Victory Day (April 28) here in Jalalabad City, the capital of Nangarhar.
All Afghans should participate with zeal if election goes to second round, he said, urging that all stakeholders should accept the outcome of the polls.
“The country cannot afford crisis anymore. We do not want more children orphaned,” he added. Malik Gul Jan, who took part in Jihad against Russia, said one and a half million Afghans lost their lives to achieve an Islamic and prosperous Afghanistan.
