KABUL (Pajhwok): No major security incident has been reported as voting continues smoothly across the country, the deputy minister of interior said on Saturday.

But some polling sites in Kabul, Kandahar, Jawzjan, Badakhshan and Bamyan provinces experienced shortages of ballot papers.
The polling process, which formally got under way at 7:00am, will end till 4:00pm. Millions of voters are expected to exercise their franchise during the runoff election.
Deputy Minister Ayub Salangi said the voting process had been underway peacefully in all provinces, including the capital Kabul.
No major incident of violence has been reported from any province, according to Salangi, who acknowledged complaints about shortages of ballot papers.
