Alhaj Wakil Mullah Tarakhil Muhammadi is the son of Alhaj Senator Janat Gul, and is born in 1973 in Deh Sabz District of Kabul Province. His mother language is Pashto but he speaks Dari and Arabic. Muhammadi completed Islamic religious studies in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. He completed his secondary education in Islamic Studies at Dewbana Madrasa, a religious madrasa in Pakistan. He graduated with a 14th class certificate in Islamic Religious Studies from the Jabna Islamic Education Institute of Afghanistan in 2006. Muhammadi is a businessman and owns gas and oil companies as well as other industrial companies. He worked as a teacher in Islamic madrasas. Muhammadi was elected to parliament in 2005.Tarakhil Muhammadi participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002 and the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003 and participated in the Peace Jirga2010.

Haji Haidar Jan Naiemzai is the son of Haji Mohammad Naeem Kochi, a famous Mujahideen commander and advisor to Sebghatullah Mujadedi. Naiemzai speaks Pashto, Dari and communicate Urdu. Naiemzai graduated with a 12th class certificate from Bebi Amnia High School in Peshawar, Pakistan in 2006. Before coming to parliament in 2005, Naiemzai was the head of distribution of National ID cards in the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

Son of Haji Mohammad Jan, Alhaj Hassan Sahraye is born in 1951 in Ghazni province. His mother language is Pashto but he speaks Dari. Saraye studied at Rahman Baba High School in Kabul and graduated with a bachelor degree in Education from Kabul University. Saraye served as a teacher and teacher trainer in Paktia and other provinces. From 1976 to 1978, he taught in Gardez, the capital of Paktia Province, and then from 1978 to 1979, he trained teachers in Kunduz Province. Saraye then served his recruitment years in the national army in Kabul from 1979 to 1981. Following that, he taught at the Police Academy until 1990 before becoming a representative of the disabled and martyrs in the Ministry of Interior for three years. He worked as a police officer from 1993 to 2000, before resuming his previous post teaching at the Police Academy in 2001. He remained in this post for seven years, while simultaneously serving as a representative to the Ghazni and Paktia Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs). From 2008 to 2010, he was a legal advisor in the Department of Kuchi Affairs.

Helay Irshad is the daughter of Mawlana Muhammad Shah Irshad, and is born in 1969 in Kabul city. She speaks Pashto, Dari, English, Dutch, and Russian. Irshad graduated from Rabia Balkhi High School in Kabul, and got her bachelor degree in Law and Political Science at Kabul University. Irshad is a writer and has been involved in the United States-sponsored Women’s Writing Project. Irshad returned to Afghanistan in 2006, having immigrated to Holland for years during the war. On her return, she served as a gender advisor to the Minister of Education from 2006 to 2007, and then as a gender advisor to the Minister of Interior from 2008 to 2009.

Ahmadzai completed his secondary education at the Janah High School in Pakistan in 1988. He has a bachelor degree in Law and Political Science from the Access University of Pakistan in 2005. Ahmadzai participated in cultural and social activities and worked in both governmental and nongovernmental organizations. He was deputy of the Ahmadzai Council, which was established by Hashmatullah Ahmadzai in 2004, and has led the Ahmadzai Council since 2006. Ahmadzai worked as an advisor on agriculture and Afghan tribes for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Ghazni, and Khost from 2008 to 2010. Ahmadzai was the deputy head of the National Consensus, a group of different parties and organizations supporting Ashraf Ghani’s presidential campaign in 2009.

Muhammed Yusuf Sabir is born in Ghani Khil District of Nangarhar Province in 1975. His grandfather was the leader of the Ahmadzai Kuchis. He speaks Pashto, Dari, and English. Sabir graduated from 14th class at Altaqwa High School in Peshawar, Pakistan. He spent two years at Dawat-ul Jihad University and then two more years studying Management Administration, Computer Sciences and English in Pakistan. Sabir worked with civil society organizations on youth issues in Kabul in 2002 to 2003. Sabir is a leader of the Kuchi people in Laghman. He was an electoral officer for the Kuchi people in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002 and in the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003. In 2005, he served as a liason officer for Kuchi women and Hindus with the Independent Election Commission. Sabir then joined the United States Agency for International Development as a contractor, working as a governance advisor to the Laghman provincial governor in 2007 to 2008. He later worked with the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) as a specialist during the 2009 provincial council elections. 1

Parween Durani is the daughter of Dr. Abdul Rahman, and is born in 1971 in Chaar Asiab District of Kabul Province. She speaks Pashto and Dari. Durani graduated from Reshkhur High School in Kabul-Char Asiab in 1989 and from Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Teachers Training Institute In 1991. Durani served as trainer and director with the Women’s Social Services Development Organization. She worked with the Embassy of Afghanistan in Iran from 1994 to 2001 and as a journalist in the media department of the Ministry of Borders and Tribes. She then worked as a journalist until her candidacy for Parliament. Durani was elected to parliament in 2005 and she represented Afghan refugees in Iran at the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.
