MAHMODRAQI (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday arrived in central Kapisa province and participated in a huge meeting of local people and representatives in Mahmodraqi, the provincial capital.
The president accompanied by a number of cabinet members and security officials arrived today afternoon in the provincial capital.
Kapisa provincial council head Hussain Sanjani who also participated at the gathering said that some economic projects previously launched in the province were remained incomplete from the past few years.

MAHMODRAQI (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has opened its branch for the first time in central Kapisa province which would help resolve problems of businessmen there, an official said Tuesday.
The inauguration ceremony of the office was attended by deputy ACCI head Khan Jan Alokozay, Kapisa governor Sayed Khalid, members of provincial council and other local officials.
Kapisa ACCI director Haji Zahir Hakimzada told Pajhwok Afghan News that traders in the province had faced with problems due to absence of an ACCI branch.

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Construction work on three roads has been initiated in first Kohistan district in central Kapisa, which would be completed with a cost of $12 million, an official said on Thursday.
Abdul Fatah Shafiqu, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that construction of 100 kilometers long road would connect first Kohistan, second Kohistan and Kohband districts with each other. 
The transit road which would have four link roads in first Kohistan would be ready for traffic this year, he added.

MAHMOOD RAQI/CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Newly-appointed governors for central Kapisa and Parwan provinces assumed office on Saturday, officials said.
An introduction ceremony for the Kapisa governor was held in Mahmood Raqi. IDLG deputy chief Nadir Yama, public representatives and tribal elders were in attendance.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Syed Mohammad Khalid Hashimi identified the eradication of administrative graft, an all-out war on drugs and enforcing rule of law as top priorities.

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): The provincial council in central Kapisa province on Saturday claimed settling a number of complicated tribal feuds and achieving progress in other areas.
Hussein Sanjani, head of provincial council, told Pajhwok Afghan News the council managed to resolve many personal and family disputes in several localities of the province.
Some tribes and families, including former Jihadi commanders, had differences for years, he said, adding those family feuds led to death of tens of people and gave rise to illegal armed men.
