KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Khost Provincial Council (PC) members on Wednesday asked resident to fully cooperate with the security forces in maintaining the law and order situation.
Speaking to Pajhwok Afghan News, PC member Janmir Zazai said Khost was one of peaceful provinces of the country due to the preparedness of security forces and all-out cooperation from residents.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The Khost governor on Saturday accused some political groups of interfering in government activities, creating hurdles to reforms and changes in the southern province.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, Governor Hukam Khan Habibi voiced concern over interference by such people in government affairs. This attitude would hamper reform, he complained.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of residents on Thursday protested in southeastern Khost province, demanding the words “Afghan” and “Islam” be mentioned in the electronic national identity cards.
A test drive for the electronic ID cards distribution was expected to begin on August 19, but it was postponed indefinitely by the Presidential Palace amid political wrangling on the issue.
Excising the two words from the new e-ID cards was a plot to divide the Afghan tribes, the protesters alleged, asking the unity government to prevent another round of bloodshed in the country.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): A large number of Ulama, tribal elders, civil society activists and youth in southeastern Khost province on Wednesday demanded the government leaders to shun their differences and work for building security and peace in the country.
In a gathering organized by the Hiwadpal Zwak Social Network (HZSN), the participants expressed deep grief over loss of precious lives in suicide attacks that jolted capital Kabul some days back.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The members of provincial council in southeastern Khost province have said that they utilize all resources to build coordination among provincial departments for good governance, implementation of law, and building peace in the area, a statement said on Tuesday.
Provincial council member expressed these views in a monthly meeting with Governor Hukam Khan Habibi where they pledged to leave no stone unturned to resolve problems of people of this strategically important province.
