PUL-I-ALAM/ LASHKARGAH, QALAT, MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Three militants were killed and five others, including two policemen wounded in bomb blasts and clashes in southern Zabul, Helmand, central Logar and eastern Laghman provinces on Saturday, officials said.
Three civilians were injured in a mine blast at a station in Mughal Khel High School in Mohammad Agha district, said Abdul Halim, the district administrative chief.
Soon after the blast, he said security forces cordoned off the area and voters had returned to cast their vote.

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least two policemen and as many election workers were killed and several others wounded on Monday when a motorcycle bomb went off in western Herat province, officials said.
The explosion occurred in Rubat Sangi district around noon, provincial police chief Brig. Gen. Samiullah Qatra told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said four policemen and as many civilians injured in the blast were instantly taken to hospital. The blast took place when a campaign rally for presidential runner Dr. Abdulla Abdullah was ongoing near his campaign office.  

KABUL (Pajhwok): With less than one month to go until the April 5 elections, the Taliban on Monday renewed their threat to disrupt what they called “the latest plot of invaders” by attacking everyone associated with the electoral process.
In a statement issued to Pajhwok, the militant outfit said foreigners led by the United States wanted to install a new puppet government under the pretext of so-called elections in Afghanistan.
